Bollywood Junction Review – April 2024

On entering the restaurant the table for nine was not ready, they had to start pushing tables together. Not a good start. Then add that to the fact that we had to ask for drinks, it took three attempts for one member to get a coke.
Asked some questions about the menu, especially portion sizes as its pricey. Lots of mumbling in reply without us really being any the wiser. The service generally really let them down, hence the low scoring review.
You need to know how and what to order here otherwise you can easily over order and that will sting you, especially because of the high appetiser prices. We went for mixed starters, some chicken 65 extras and reduced mains with some mixed veggies. With hindsight we may have changed it somewhat as there was too much chicken for starters and veggies were not that great. This is why we tried to ask for advice at the start of the meal.
Having said all that, the food was generally good but it was never going to make up for the poor start. Shame, new ownership since we last visited, we had high expectations that were not met.
