Jasmine Review – August 2023
Quite a new opening this restaurant. Located in the City Centre, the other side of the shopping to the Escape, possible a little out of the way and relying on reputation for their customers.
Food, especially starters, was certainly spicy, perhaps too spicy as no indication on the menu of this. Overall, the food was certainly authentic Indian and was very good.
Excessive staff seemed to be in attendance, not sure if they were all there for training, as knowledge of the offering was poor and the whole service was somewhat haphazard.
An expensive option but we wish them success with their venture.

Also, check out the scores and the common curry.
Common Curry – Expensive
Certificate – None awarded. The food is better than this but the overall experience was disappointing.

---|---|
Lamb Sheek kebab, sold as mild but spicy. Very tasty | Table was booked but not ready for us |
Chicken Tangdi kebab, three good drumsticks | Service slow and chaotic. Lots of staff but food did not arrive together. Ordering was difficult. |
Lamb Rogan Josh, generous, tender lumps of lamb | Did not have pops, too expensive |
Dal Ghosh, tender lamb but a bit bland | One Unisex toilet by the servers entrance. Doubts about it! |
Gongura mutton, very tasty, unusual flavour | Naans were like roti, should not be mixed into same bowl when served |
Delicious Butter chicken, spicy, lingering after taste | No choice of veggie sides |
Big rice portions, all nice | Small, limited menu with inflated prices |
Plenty of Asian customers | Music not authentic |
