Rose of India Review – November 2024

The Rose of India: A Warm Welcome, But Room for Improvement
As a newcomer to the storied Milton Keynes Curry Club, the Rose of India was often described as the club’s “spiritual home.” With such high expectations, I eagerly anticipated my visit. While the warm hospitality was undeniable, the culinary experience fell short of the legendary status it had been ascribed.
From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with genuine warmth and attentive service. The staff’s familiarity with the Curry Club’s members was evident, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel valued. The restaurant’s long-standing relationship with the club has clearly fostered a loyal customer base, and the staff’s dedication to maintaining this connection is commendable.
The menu offers a diverse range of Indian dishes, catering to various tastes. However, while the food was certainly enjoyable, the dishes were well-prepared and presented, they did not leave a lasting impression.
In conclusion, the Rose of India excels in providing a warm and welcoming ambiance, making it an ideal place to gather with friends and family. While the service is exemplary, the food, though tasty, was not exceptional. For those seeking a memorable culinary experience, other establishments may offer a better experience.
